I conducted a research project last semester on the Chinese International Commercial Court and its impact on China's New Silk Road in Dr. Flynn's class. I was able to blend both my passions of business and law in order to research global business that is occurring in real-time. I was then able to give a talk on it to showcase all of my research and conclusions.

I was a mentor in the Junior Mountaineer program. I was a peer tutor for organic chemistry, bioorganic chemistry and Spanish. I was also a teacher assistant (TA) for organic chemistry, bioorganic chemistry, and anatomy and physiology. In all of these activities I had the opportunity to interact with people and serve them, and that made my time at the Mount significant.

I've done many research projects where I found a love for learning and finding new results. Dr. Kallarackal helped me so much in pursuing different research and made it fun for all her students. The Mount shows you how to form good relationships and connections that you can use in the future but also model in jobs.

The most meaningful experience I had while at the Mount was my internship with the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.The Career Center and Director Pouss helped me navigate the interview process and guided me to success in securing that opportunity. I was able to fully immerse myself in the internship, gaining valuable experience and knowledge about how the legislative process actually happens.

I was an SI for genetics, anatomy and physiology I, and anatomy and physiology II as well as peer tutor for general and organic chemistry I & II, calculus, physics and math. This teaching experience allowed me to further my own understanding of each subject by finding different ways to explain every topic from first principles.

In the fall I will start at Rutgers Law in pursuit of my juris doctorate. I intend to focus on public interest and family law. It is my goal to ultimately work as a legal advocate for victims of sexual and domestic violence, and to help them get the justice they deserve.

I have participated in Division I water polo, tutoring and worked in research labs in the science department. I find it very fulfilling to help others understand things and break intellectual barriers. I love to get to know people through my work and share small yet valuable moments with them.

Our alumni have also gone on to continue their education as graduate students at Yale, UNC, UPenn, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, University of Chicago, and Catholic University; and they’ve expanded their impact through volunteer opportunities like Teach for America and Jesuit Volunteer Corps.
