Transfer Orientation

Welcome to the Mount!

At the Mount we offer a three-part orientation program for our transfer students: Transfer Orientation dates in July, online orientation modules, followed by August orientation with move-in day, if you will be a residential student. Each event is designed to immerse you in your new community. Throughout your orientation experience, you will learn about the dedicated resources and student support offices built to guide your journey and get a taste of how easy it is to get involved on campus. You will have a chance to meet your future classmates and learn about your checklist items you need to complete before coming to campus in the fall. You will also have a chance to meet with faculty members and fellow students to learn more about MyMount, symposium and make connections.

Transfer Student Orientation is designed to:

• Prepare you for your Mount journey, both academically and socially.
• Show you what it means to be a Mountaineer.
• Connect you with your new community and resources.
• Provide experiences for you to build relationships with fellow students, professors and administrators.
• Share an authentic sense of school pride with you.
• Help you transition to college life.

2023 Transfer Orientation Dates

• Thursday, July 13, 2 p.m.
• Friday, July 14, 9 a.m.
• Monday, July 17, 2 p.m.
• Tuesday, July 18, 9 a.m.

Registration will be available in May.
