Alumni Resources

Walking across the stage at commencement signifies a moment of transition for a student. This is the moment when students become alumni. At the Mount, we are pleased to offer many exclusive services and benefits which allow alumni to stay connected and reap rewards.

Benefits and Services

Aside from a world class education and a network of 18,000+ Mounties, you also get a few additional perks just for being part of the family!

Alumni House

With easy access to the Mount’s main campus, athletic facilities and National Shrine Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes, Alumni House offers a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere for all our guests. Alumni, members of the Mount community and friends of the Mount are welcome to make a reservation.

Making a reservation

  1. Email the Alumni House Manager at alumnihouse@msmary.edu with your reservation dates and the number of rooms you need.
  2. The Alumni House Manager will review your request for availability and respond within 48 hours.
  3. If your request can be accommodated, you will receive information on how to pay for your Alumni House reservation.

Accommodation Information

Alumni House offers six guest rooms. The first floor has two guest rooms each with two twin size beds. The second floor has four guest rooms each with one queen size bed.

There are two full bathrooms, one is located on the ground floor, one on the second floor. On occasion, guests will need to share both the downstairs living space and the bathroom facilities.

Please Note:

Maid service is NOT available during your stay.

Upstairs Level

In addition to the four guest rooms, there is one full bathroom on the upstairs level.

Lower Level

In addition to the two guest rooms, Alumni House has a living room, sun-room and one full bathroom on the lower level. There is a deck located in the back of the house with access through the sunroom.

Kitchen Facilities

Guests are welcome to use the kitchen, which includes a variety of cookware, as well as complimentary coffee and tea service. Please wash all dishes used and remove all leftover food.

Whole House Rental Rates

Any guest who reserves 4 guest rooms secures all of Alumni House for their stay.

  • $450 per night – weekend rate
  • $390 per night – weekday rate

Individual Room Rental Rates

  • $85 per night – weekend rate
  • $75 per night – weekday rate

Additional notes

  • Refunds will be given if cancellation is made 1 week prior to the start of your stay.
  • A reservation confirmation email will be sent with your payment receipt.
  • Check-in is at 3 pm and Checkout is at 10 am.
  • There is a two night minimum stay.
  • Please be advised that we do not have daily housekeeping service.

ARCC Gym Memberships

Keep fit in the ARCC even after you graduate with access to the Dillon Fieldhouse, PNC Fitness Center, swimming pool, student locker rooms, and saunas through our discounted alumni memberships.

School Spirit License Plates

Show your Mountaineer pride with the Maryland or Pennsylvania State license plate program. Just follow the steps below to get your official Mount St. Mary's University plates.

Proceeds from both state license plate programs benefit the National Alumni Association's Rev. Carl J. Fives Alumni Scholarship Program.

Maryland

There is a one time fee of $50, of which $25 is tax deductible. This fee must be paid before issuance of the Mount’s special Maryland License plate.

  1. Print out and complete a MVA registration form.
  2. Mail the completed form with a check for $50 (per vehicle), payable to Mount St. Mary’s University; please indicate "MD License Plate Program" in the memo field, to:

Plate numbers are assigned in the order in which they are received. Please allow up to six weeks for delivery.

Pennsylvania

There is a one time fee of $60 for standard plates, of which $28 is tax deductible. The personalized plate fee is $180, of which $20 is tax deductible. This fee must be paid before issuance of the Mount’s special Pennsylvania License plate.

  1. Print and complete a PENNDOT registration form.
  2. Mail the completed form with a check for $60 (per vehicle), payable to Mount St. Mary’s University; please indicate "PA License Plate Program" in the memo field, to:

Premium Athletics Tickets

To show your Mount pride, you can support Mount Athletics and get first pick on some of the most prime seats in the house through the Mount St. Mary's University Athletics Ticket Office. Not only will you cheer on your favorite teams, but you'll be giving back to enhance the student-athlete experience.

As an alumnus/a of the Mount, you have access to a variety of Career Center services and resources, such as:

  • recruiting resources to help your company hire Mounties

Looking for your transcripts of your classes? The University Registrar's Office handles all transcript requests for the university, and the Seminary Registrar can assist seminary graduates.
