I chose to serve as the student body president to sharpen my leadership skills and work with a group of highly motivated people to change the landscape of the Mount to correlate with our rapidly changing environment. We have just recently created a new constitution that will involve more people within the SGA on a number of spectrums.
I value the trait of respect. I believe it is vital to treat others, no matter their differences, as well as yourself with the utmost respect. I also value humility. As a leader, it is important to understand your limitations and make it a top priority to listen to the opinions of others. Lastly, I value courage. If you want to make change it is vital that you have the courage to express your ideas and be open to criticism.
